Our Department of Forest Engineering started education in 1994 and provides education, training, research and consultancy services on biotechnical, socio-economic and collective-cultural issues related to the evaluation of the forest as an ecosystem, its improvement, development within the framework of genetic breeding principles and its natural and / or artificial rejuvenation, operation and protection with a scientific understanding in order to meet the needs of society for forest products today and in the future, to fulfill social services, to ensure the protection and continuity of forests. The Department of Forest Engineering trains "Forest Engineers" who can carry out the planning, implementation and supervision of the activities carried out and who will work devotedly. For this reason, candidates who will prefer the Department of Forest Engineering should be interested in mathematics-science subjects, prone to social relations, outgoing, productive, combative and nature-loving. As of 2019, our department continues its academic and scientific activities with 9 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 13 Assistant Professors, 3 Lecturers and 8 Research Assistants. |
